The Steps Minds Eye Takes When Creating a Website

Free Consultation:
It is important to include you as much as possible during the creation of your new website. Your website will be designed to portray you, your ideas and your business. Some things that we discuss in a consultation may involve:
- Your current site provided you have one
- Other websites that you like
- Which colors you would like to incorparate
- Any special request
We will help you develop an online strategy for your company either in person, over the phone or through e-mail. If desired, we will discuss a written plan for exactly how we will build your website. We'll outline each portion of the website, describe the navigation and layout of the website and set a schedule for building your website. We will also go over a client agreement to outline what our services will include as well as giving you a reasonable timeline for completing your website.
Set-up:
If you need help securing a domain name (www.yoursitename.com). We would be happy to do this for you as well as help you choose a web host that would work best for you based on the needs of your website. Mock-ups:
Mock-ups are non-functioning graphical representations of what your site would look like when completed. We will design upto three mock-ups for your website based on your input, although we generally try to get it right in one shot. From the beginning we consider browser compatibility, download times, usability and other technical issues so that you won't have to worry about it when it comes time to implement the design.
You will choose the mock-up that best fits your company mission and tell us what you want to change, if anything at all. Usually we go through several rounds of revisions with mock-ups. We aren't satisfied with the design until you are.
Implementing Design:
We will work with your text and graphics and implement them into the design of the website. We make sure that the graphics flow great and the text is formatted appropriate to the design of your website.
When we have your content and graphics, we will build the site using HTML, JavaScript, CSS and various other web development tools and languages. We focus on search engine friendlyness when coding, and we use tableless layouts.
Launch:
When the website is designed and you are satisfied with the finished product, we launch the site. We can also teach someone at your company how to maintain some or all of the site. We can also maintain it for you and bill you on a monthly basis for maintenance services.
Note: We use Dreamweaver 8 while creating websites, it is strongly recommended that if you plan on having somebody else maintain it that they have Dreamweaver 8 or a newer version.
